Raise Cash Fast

Donate Blood
Become a blood donor. Many cities have donation centers that pay you for your plasma. You may be able to donate twice per week if you are in normal health. They typically pay from $25 to $35.

Redeem C Card Cash Rewards
I don't use my cards too often, but I did just get $10 for my accumulated points. If you use your card(s) more often and haven't cashed in in a while, see what you can get. You may be able to get a check. If all that is available is gift cards from various retailers, choose one where you normally shop anyhow, or where you can get ordinary necessities.

Be A Guinea Pig
Medical, health and psychological research requires a steady supply of humans for testing. Trials and experiments can be for testing of new drugs, new medical devices, or even new psychological therapies. They can also be general research into various diets, exercise routines or other things related to health or medicine. Volunteers - the human guinea pigs - who participate in the various trials, tests and experiments get paid.

For example...

Small Business Interest Tax Deduction

(# 108 from More Secrets in You Aren't Supposed To Know)

If you can allocate debt to your business you'll get a tax deduction for the interest. For example, suppose you have saved up $10,000 in your business account to buy new equipment. If you have any other debt that is not tax deductible, pay the money out to yourself and use it to pay that debt down, and then borrow for the new equipment.

Suppose you pay off $10,000 of your car loan or credit card debt that was costing you 12% interest, and borrow that much (at about the same rate) to buy the new business equipment. You end up with the exact same amount of debt overall, but now all of the interest can be called a business expense, meaning you will save hundreds at tax time. This can be done with most small businesses, but ask your tax professional about your particular case.

Secret Stashes

There may come a time when the banks fail and the Government cannot return everyone's money immediately. In fact, such times have already come. During the Savings and Loan Crisis of the later 1980s and early 1990s 745 savings and loan associations (also known as "thrifts") failed, and some depositors had to wait months to get their money returned.

One preventative measure worth considering then, is to stash some cash just in case. A safe deposit box is one possible place to do this. They generally are accessible (or at least have been) even when banks are closed due to failure.

But it is nice to have some cash available at or near home, in case all else fails. Most of the places that come to mind for these secret stashes are common knowledge to criminals, so get creative and disperse your money among several locations for maximum safety. You may also want to consider stashes of gold, silver or silver coins as security against the risk of a currency failure.

Buried Stashes

It can be risky to bury cash or valuables away from your home, because you cannot monitor the stash. A storm might dislodge it if it is near a stream, or animals could dig it up, or humans could recognize the tell-tale signs of a buried treasure. On the other hand, burglars most often target your house, so having some money buried out in the woods or hills might not be such a bad idea.
Burying a stash shallowly under a rock is one way to keep the evidence of digging hidden. Move a heavy rock, dig a...

Sales Trick

Good salesmen have always known intuitively what behavioral economists are finally proving through research. For example, there is a process of "integrating losses" that causes us to pay more for things than we normally would. A classic example is a $300 car stereo you would have thought was too expensive the day before, but when you are buying a $21,000 car, $500 for the same stereo seems reasonable. This is why car salesmen push the extras hard. They are easier sales when you are already spending a large amount of money.

When making any large purchase, look at each extra and ask yourself if you would have bought it for that price last week. If not, you probably don't need it, so save yourself the money.

How To Survive A Gunfight

Your first inclination might be to run away when bullets start flying. But unless you have already determined that to be the best plan, get low instead. Drop to the floor or ground and get behind something thick if possible. If you cannot, squat down with knees up in front and pull your arms into your sides. This helps protect your heart and lungs in the event that you are shot.
Immediately start deciphering the situation and looking for a way out. Are you a target? Is it a fight between two opposing sides or a man on a killing spree? Can you see...
